Connecticut Federation of Lakes
By George Knoecklein, CFL President
The Connecticut Federation of Lakes, in conjunction with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, is pleased to offer the first round of small grants for immediate distribution to eligible Connecticut lake organizations. The funding is to be used by lake stakeholders who are seeking to become organized as a lake association, or other decision making organization, and need support with start up costs, as well as those that have just recently become established and require additional funding to become active. Our goal is to encourage the creation and strengthening of lake protection groups around the state of Connecticut and to aid them in their efforts to improve and protect the lake resources of Connecticut.
A copy of the application materials you need to submit for grand funding under the Lake Assistance Small Grant Program is available on the CFL web site at www.ctlakes.org. A copy is also included in this newsletter. To apply, please complete the application and e-mail it to Penny@Ctlakes.org. If you have any questions concerning the application process please call me at 860 456 – 3179 or you can email me at knoecklein@juno.com.
